THA Election Candidates Highlight Plans

More jobs for young people in the district of Bacolet/Bagatelle is one of the areas PNM candidate Joel Jack will continue to focus on, should he be elected to represent the district on December 6th. Mr. Jack, who is currently the Secretary of Finance and the Economy in the Tobago House of Assembly, said there is currently an employment database that is used to recommend people for jobs in the private sector. And the Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP) is proposing a two-track education system for Tobago as part of its transformation strategy. Deputy Political Leader of the PDP, Farley Augustine, said the THA Act gives the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) authority over the administration of education for the island.
