Back To School On February 7th For Forms 1-3 And Standard 5 Students

Students of Forms 1-3 and Standard 5 will return to the physical classroom on February 7th. A media release from the Ministry of Education says students of Forms 1-3 are required to return to school on a rotational basis from February 7th. The details of arrangements for each school will be communicated to parents and students by Principals. The Ministry says however all students should be required to physically attend school at minimum two days per week, and five days in a 10-day cycle. Students who are not rostered for physical attendance are to be assigned asynchronous assignments. Students of Standard 5 students are also required to attend school physically from February 7th to March 29th, four days a week, in preparation for the SEA on March 31st, 2022. The Ministry says on Wednesdays, teaching should be virtual to allow for thorough school cleaning. The Ministry of Education says for the duration of the Academic Year, schools will be mandated to relax school uniform requirements, especially with regard to the colour and type of school shoes.
