Ministers Condemn UNC Women's Arm

Minister of Public Utilities, Marvin Gonzales, has condemned statements made by the UNC Women’s Arm. This, after St Augustine MP Khadijah Ameen questioned the status of the streetlights at the Heights of Aripo during a candlelight vigil and prayer on Saturday. In response, Minister Gonzales said lights were installed last July and more will be installed when resources become available. Also responding to the claims, the MP for Arima, Pennelope Beckles, said Ms. Ameen is using the recent discovery of a woman’s body in the area for political purposes.
