TT Government, CARICOM Concerned By Situation In The Ukraine

The Government of Trinidad and Tobago is deeply concerned by what it has described as the serious developments in Ukraine. Minister of Foreign and Caricom Affairs, Dr Amery Browne, in a statement said the latest developments are a threat posed to global peace. He said as Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, he has been in close collaboration on the Ukraine crisis with his counterparts within CARICOM. On the part of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Browne said he has instructed this country's Overseas Missions to use all available diplomatic channels and fora to condemn the outbreak of violence on Ukraine. Dr. Browne confirmed there are no registered or identified nationals in Ukraine, and steps are being taken to verify that there are no undisclosed nationals there.
