Some Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL) workers both present and past are demanding monies owed to them since 2015. In a demonstration this morning outside the company, OWTU Branch Union Representative Akini Solomon laid out the case. The protests have been taking place from 2021 since they were told that the money was ready for payment after having a meeting with the company’s executive. Mr. Solomon says only one thing has brought benefit for the workers and that is struggle so they are prepared to continue their protests until they get what is due to them.
