Large Cache Of Weapons Found

The find of a large cache of weapons has the Acting Commission of Police Mc Donald Jacob saying that removing weapons will reduce the incidence of crime. In a police report, we are told that around 1:30 pm on Tuesday, officers of the Special Investigations Unit, and other officers under the supervision of the ACP Central Intelligence went to Medway Warehouse located at Old Southern Main Road, St. Mary's Village, Freeport. The officers searched the premises and found a sealed barrel, which they opened. It contained nine AK-47 rifles, eight AR-15 rifles, two pistols and over 1,000 rounds of assorted ammunition with 36 magazines. No arrests have been made in connection with the find. The Acting Commissioner says he intends to intensify the pressure on the criminal elements channeling resources and working strategically with other agencies to remove illegal firearms from communities.
