Glenn 'Fido' Francis has been appointed Head Coach of the National Women's Hockey Team. Francis replaces Anthony Marcano, who indicated that the 2022 Pan American Cup, recently held in Santiago, Chile, would have been his last event with the team. Marcano served as Head Coach to the Senior Women’s Team for roughly four years, taking the team to a Bronze Medal at the 2018 CAC Games on his first venture out. Francis brings with him a wealth of experience, as well as his commitment to excellence and high-level performance. Prior to his entry into the coaching arena, Fido, as he is known in hockey circles, represented Trinidad & Tobago as a goalkeeper for 15 years. Francis previously held the position of Senior Men's and Women's Coach from 2012 to 2019. Under his stewardship, the team won a Gold Medal at the inaugural FIH World League Round 1 in 2012, a Bronze Medal at the Pan American Cup in November 2013, and at the CAC Games the team medalled twice, winning Silver and Bronze in 2014 and 2018 respectively.
