Four Top Performing Students In SEA 2020 To Receive President’s Medal For Primary Education

The top performing students at the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) 2020 will share the President’s Medal for Primary Education (Gold) and Primary Education (Silver). The Ministry of Education made the recommendation with agreement from President Paula-Mae Weekes. The move comes after consultation with the President, and suggestions from the parents and lawyers of both students. In a statement, the Education Ministry again expressed its apologies to the children who were affected by the circumstances surrounding the award of the SEA President’s Medal, 2020 and added that it was in no way intentional, and should not have occurred. The Ministry added that moving forward there will be a review of this process. Ameerah Beekhoo of San Fernando TML and Aaron Subero of Maria Regina Grade School will both receive the President's Medal, Gold.
