Pipeline Repairs At Cocorite Completed, WASA Anticipates Full Road Restoration By 8PM

After hours of gridlock traffic and disruption to the water supply in West Trinidad, some ease was experienced from around 5 o' clock this afternoon when utilities WASA and T&TEC completed works on a ruptured transmission line. The pipeline is located along the Western Main Road, Cocorite near to the Peake's Service Station. Ayanna Carter spoke to Director of Operations at the Water and Sewerage Authority Shaira Ali, who broke down the situation for us. WASA also says it anticipates that the road restoration will be complete by 8pm, and water supply should normalise in the next 12 to 24 hours.
