A shooting incident in Couva has resulted in two men being killed.
The deceased were identified as 24 year old Malik Harper, of Anesa Street, Couva, and 31 year old John Outram, of Mary Street, Couva.
Reports are that the shooting took place at Anesa Street at around 6:30pm on Tuesday. Residents in the area reported hearing gunfire and upon checking found Harper and Outram suffering from gunshot injuries. Harper's relatives rushed him to the Couva District hospital while police took Outram to hospital.
Both men however died while receiving medical treatment.
Malik Harper’s father said it was an unfortunate circumstance for his son.
