Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar wants the government to show how it spent the $52 billion allocated for fiscal 2022. In her response to the Finance Appropriation Bill 2022, Mrs Persad-Bissessar said the Finance Minister's presentation had nothing for the people, nothing to help with crime, no new projects and no new revenue streams. She noted that out of the additional $3 billion for fiscal 2022, $1.7 billion is going towards current transfers and subsidies.
