The Emancipation Support Committee of Trinidad and Tobago will mark African Liberation Day this year by launching the 2022 Pan African Festival TT, commemorating Emancipation. Executive Chair of the Emancipation Support Committee, Zakiya Uzomo-Wadada, says this year marks a return to live events. Director of Regional Affairs of the Emancipation Support Committee, Khafra Kambon, says celebrating so many years as an organisation is an impressive achievement. This year’s theme is 'Commemorating 30 Years of Transformation and Resilience.' The ESCTT says it has planned a unique Festival for 2022, encompassing the experiences of the last two years of online activities. The official launch of the Festival will be on Wednesday 25th May 2022.
