Savannah Boys, Barataria Ball Players Meet In North Zone Cricket Council 40-Over Final

Savannah Boys will meet Barataria Ball Players in the North Zone Cricket Council 40-Over Final on Sunday at St. Mary’s Ground, Serpentine Road, starting at 12 noon. Savannah Boys defeated Invincible in their Semi Final game last Sunday. In the rain affected game, Invincible were bowled out for 146 in 29.2 overs. Due to rain, Savannah Boys were set a revised total of 98 off 27 overs. Savannah Boys easily achieved the total, scoring 102/3 in 13.5 overs. Barataria Ball Players then created the biggest upset of the tournament, defeating the prolific Police outfit in a closely contested game. The teams will battle on Sunday for the $10,000 first prize and the North Zone Challenge Trophy.
