Bamboo #3 Pump Vandalised

It's the third water pump to be destroyed in three months, and Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan says it's an act of vandalism that will only cause the people of Bamboo Settlement #3, to suffer during the Rainy Season. Speaking to reporters at Bamboo #3 in St. Joseph on Thursday, Minister Sinanan said it appears there was an attempt to burn the water pump. He said the trend is not only disturbing, but it will result in severe inconveniences for a large number of people. The Minister said he is grateful for the quick response by residents who managed to extinguish the fire, preventing severe damage to the pump. He said without this pump, especially during the Rainy Season, the residents of Bamboo #3 are likely to suffer significant damage to both businesses and homes.
