The Torrance Mohammed Foundation paid tribute to the cultural icon on Monday. Chairman of the foundation, Deron Attz, said the tribute held at Mille Fleur is their way of reminding the public about his contribution to society. Mr. Mohammed’s died one year ago during a robbery on May 24, 2021. Mr. Attz said it was Mr. Mohammed’s goal to ensure that the younger generation knew everything about Trinbago’s rich and diverse culture – and added that he was concerned about the levels of crime facing the next generation. He believes creativity and culture can act as a tool to reduce the crime in Trinidad and Tobago.
