Improved Water Supply In Penal/Debe

An improved water supply is coming to the residents of the Penal/Debe area through the Water and Sewerage Authority’s Community Water Improvement Programme(CWIP). Speaking on the NOW Morning Show, Minister of Public Utilities, Marvin Gonzales, said he spent most of last Friday meeting with officials in Siparia, Penal, and Point Fortin. He said he met with officials of Powergen to discuss how water from the Mora Dam can be used to alleviate some of the water woes experienced by residents. Minister Gonzales shared that following the meetings, it was decided that there will be a collaboration between WASA and Powergen to access the Mora Dam.
