Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a Siparia woman who was found murdered at her home on Friday.
The victim was identified as 47 year old URP worker Leann Babb of Rito Ville, Siparia. Her decomposing body was found at her home by police officers after relatives reported a foul stench coming from her home on Friday afternoon.
Police had to break into the woman's house in order to gain access.
Ms. Babb's body was found wrapped in a bed sheet, with a pillow over her head. A bloodied hammer was found nearby along with a cutlass.
Ms. Babb was last seen at her home on Wednesday. Relatives went looking for her after calls to her cell phone went unanswered.
