The Tobago House of Assembly has taken steps to establish the first 'THA Outpost' in Port of Spain. Chief Secretary Farley Augustine made the revelation during Thursday's presentation of the Draft Budget estimates for fiscal 2022/2023 at the Assembly Chamber. Mr. Augustine noted that this has become necessary to ensure Tobago's business, including the matter of autonomy, is at the forefront. The outpost will be housed on Pembroke Street in Port of Spain. The Chief Secretary said conversations on the national front should be advanced on a possible formula for the sharing and exploration of natural resources. The theme of this year's budget was "Towards a smarter, greener and more autonomous Tobago.”
