Greater safety considerations in the design, construction, installation and maintenance of manual and automatic sliding gates are necessary to protect people from injury or even death.
Speaking on the NOW Morning Show today, Standards Officer III at the Bureau of Standards, Darryl Thomson, stated this organisation is responsible for the development, promotion and enforcement of Trinidad and Tobago’s standards. Recently there were two reported incidents where fallen gates caused serious injury or death.
