A 25 year old woman is expected to appear before a Siparia Magistrate today, charged with the murder of her seven year old daughter, Mc Kenzie Hope Rechier. Deniel Rechier, 25, of Palo Seco, was charged with the offence following advice received from Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, Joan Honore-Paul, on Thursday 25th August, 2022. The unresponsive body of Mc Kenzie Hope Rechier was found at her Palo Seco home, on August 20th, 2022, by officers of the Santa Flora Police Station. A female relative was arrested in connection with the incident on that same date. It is believed the child died on Friday 19th August, 2022. Investigations were supervised by Supt. Dhilpaul, ASP Persad and Insp. Jones, all of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region Three. Rechier was charged by PC Bhola, also of HBI Region Three.
