The South arm of the Mau Pau casino mobilised to distribute school supplies in their district.
Chair of the South branch, Miss Universe 1998 Wendy Fitzwilliam, said she and her team decided to assist the workers at the company, especially as their sector was shut down for some time due to the COVID-19 restrictions. But she said with the response, they were able to assist other families in need.
She said the supplies were given to students in need from three schools in Siparia.
