South Africa will be welcoming the beat of Calypso to the 2023 Netball World Cup as this country's netballers booked their spot in next year's showcase event on the African continent. Coming up against the United States, the Calypso girls came away with a 43 to 27 victory. The Shaquanda Green Noel-led team led 18-8 in the first quarter, took the second 9-5, the third 11-6, and only the fourth quarter they were outscored 5-8. Joelissa Cooper led all T&T shooters with 20 points from 24 attempts , while Afeisha Noel was next best with 15 from 24 attempts. The Calypso girls face Barbados tonight at 9:15pm before ending their campaign against already-qualified Jamaica on Saturday.
