The six-team Fiesta Female League will give Trinidad and Tobago's women basketballers a unique platform to show their skills at venues throughout the country. The FFL League will run across the country from January 15th to March 26th. Athletic Director of Fiesta Basketball, Garvin Warrick, says the tournament was conceived as a response to a need for more playing opportunities for the nation's women. The teams: Next Level COMETS, WiPAY SPARKS, Digicel WILDCATS, Sunshine Snacks WARRIORS, MILO VIPERS, and Republic Bank Ltd STARS will play 40 minutes games beginning with a round robin format before progressing to a knock-out competition. The teams will be filled with players from throughout the country with the pick of the bunch seeded in a pre-tournament draft. Six coaches will lead benches that will also include women coaches.
