Former Vice President of the Senate, Anthropologist and Tobago cultural icon Rawle Titus also known as 'Axe Back' has passed on. Mr. Titus was well known for his significant involvement in the Prime Minister's Best Village Competition, the Tobago Heritage Festival and as calypsonian. Tobago House of Assembly Tourism Secretary Tashia Burris, in sending condolences, noted Mr. Titus' commitment to the island's cultural fraternity, which spanned over 60 years. In 2019, Mr. Titus was among those honoured by the Division of Tourism for his contributions to the Tobago Heritage Festival in the fields of composition, dance, choreography and playwright.
