30 Artistes Go Through To CSM Semis

Thirty artistes have been selected for the 2023 Chutney Soca Monarch (CSM) Semi Final Round. Organisers Southex say they were selected out of close to 80 persons who registered new songs for the competition. This is said to be the largest number in more than six years. Among the Semi Finalists are Ricardo Melville aka Daddy Chinee, Shiva Lakhan, Rick Ramoutar, Kenneth Supersad, Devanand Gattoo, Ramrajie Prabhoo, who will be competing against her son, Prince Navin Prabhoo, Kenneth Salick, Neval Chatelal, and making history as the youngest competitor in the competition, eight year old Katelin Sultan will be hoping to upstage her father Neeshad Sultan. The 2023 CSM Semi Final round is scheduled for Friday January 27th at Screamers at South Haven, Debe. Only 10 songs will be selected for the Grand Final which is scheduled for Saturday February 4th at Skinner Park, San Fernando.
