While March 1st is recognised as Zero Discrimination Day, many believe the concept of zero discrimination is an ideal which cannot be achieved.
Treasurer at the Human Resource Management Association of Trinidad & Tobago, Antonia Ferrier, said the world includes people with their own experiences, which often shape their perception.
As it relates to the workplace, Ms. Ferrier said one way to root out discrimination is by using formal infrastructure, such as policies and procedures.
